We at OnlyOutdoors are often sometimes asked to quote for projects which include a large amount of wetpour safety surfacing or similar. We are also asked what the optimum for an outdoor fitness area is. We always point out that when a project becomes a “safety surfacing project with an added outdoor gym” rather than the other way around, then clearly something has gone astray in the specification and goals of the project…

Talk to us. Don’t compromise safety. Choose an optimum level for your target users. But don’t be led up the garden path by companies whose focus are on selling wetpour – and have less of a focus on the overall objectives. Have a look at the types of projects that are currently underway around the country. If you need EPDM wetpour, Safagrass, or similar, we can offer them all – at some of the most competitive prices in the Irish market. But our most important advice is that you stay focussed on the objectives – and ensure that those objectives are met for the target users in the most cost-efficient and safest way. We’re still committed to improving the lives of people of all ages in Ireland, ensuring that they always have enough outdoor exercise. The company is dedicated to improving the lives of all by providing a little bit of motivation and focus to ensure that this happens.

OnlyOutdoors is very much of the view that, as far as exercise is concerned, the more the better. Ideally, people shouldn’t give up one form of exercise in favour of another. They shouldn’t think of it as a "or-or", “this or that” situation - it’s more “and-and”, "this and that".

The most important thing is to create situations where people who may not be getting enough exercise get the motivation to take more. The end result should be happier people, a less strained health system and a nicer environment.
