A new "Fitness Fáinne" - or "Fitness Ring" has been installed in Oak Park, Co. Carlow. Ten pieces are in place - all from our Standard Range. The Rower, Cross Trainer, Tai Chi Spinners, Seated Puller, Waist Twister, Dip Bars, Rider, Leg Press, Chest Press and Surfboard allow users of all ages and abilities to have an excellent workout. The pieces are installed in a fáinne, or ring structure, and the entire area has also been given a GrassLok safety surfacing finish.

GrassLok is a new safety solution we offer, with black mats securely placed around both the concrete foundations needed for the pieces, and the grass area around the concrete. The mats allow grass to grow through them over time while at the same time preventing the build up of mud around the pieces. GrassLok is compliant to the EN1177 safety surfacing standard.

The photographs below show how grass eventually grows through the black mats. The first two pictures were taken during installation in late November 2011, with the remainder taken two months after installation, in early February, 2012.
